At Your Numbers Person, we help business owners feel calm, informed, and confident about their finances. Our work goes beyond coding and reconciling—we bring structure to messy systems, stabilize workflows, and help clients understand what’s really happening in their businesses.
We’re growing, and we’re looking for a senior-level bookkeeper to own client onboarding and early-stage cleanup work. This is a hands-on, problem-solving role for someone who enjoys untangling complexity, creating order, and being the steady, reassuring presence clients need during transitions.
This is a client-facing role, but not a sales role.
You will own the onboarding process from start to finish—taking clients from “messy starting point” to stable, tax-ready books.
That includes:
Leading client onboarding from initial setup through clean handoff to the ongoing bookkeeping team
Setting up QuickBooks Online accounts, access/logins, bank and credit card connections, and integrations
Cleaning up historical messes (prior bookkeeper issues, long-unreconciled accounts, odd balance sheet items, etc.)
Stabilizing payroll systems and resolving real-world payroll problems
Helping create and refine checklists and processes so month-end stays smooth after onboarding
Communicating directly with clients: asking questions, following up, explaining issues clearly, and setting expectations
Working inside our Double workflow system to manage tasks and documentation
Possibly assisting with proposals and early-stage client setup
(Optional) Exploring AI bookkeeping tools if you enjoy testing new platforms
Payroll experience matters
This role requires real payroll experience—not just posting journal entries.
